Spring Testing

Students in grades 3, 4, and 5 will be taking the new Iowa State Assessment over the next two weeks.

Parents often ask how they can help prepare their child to do their best on these tests. These are not tests that students study for ahead of time. However, parents can help by ensuring their child gets plenty of rest each night and that they get to school on time. Simply encouraging your child to do his or her best is also helpful.

Students in grades Kdg, 1, and 2 will also be taking district assessments in May. You can continue to support your child by reading each night, working on sight words, and practicing basic addition and subtraction facts.
