Wright Elementary School 3rd graders are using a school bus as their sleigh, delivering handmade gifts to sick children and the elderly, and packing meals for the hungry. Wright Transforms Into “Gallery of Arts”

Wright Elementary School welcomed parents and families yesterday for our second annual Gallery of Arts. Each classroom became an “individual gallery” of themed art projects based on units of study including dependence, consequence, courage, interdependence and relationships. DMPS, Parks & Rec Partner for Basketball

Des Moines Parks and Recreation and Des Moines Public Schools are partnering to offer a youth basketball league for the 2014-2015 season. The program is for students in grades 1st through 7th. Bell Times Change at Wright this Fall

Students at 19 elementary schools, including Wright Elementary, will adjust their schedule by 10 minutes this fall. It’s a move that will give bus drivers much needed time to get from school to school.
